Justice Ademola

It was alleged that the lawyer of the then presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (rtd.) gave monetary gift to the now embattled Justice Ademola

This allegation was revealed at the trial by the DSS witness Mr. Babatunde Adepoju who is the IPO responsible for investigating the case against Justice Ademola.

The IPO admitted that Mr. Kola Awodein SAN who represented Gen. Buhari (rtd.) at the time of the School Certificate saga (during the Nigerian presidential campaigns) in 2015, paid the sum of Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N500,000.00) to the account of the first defendant – Justice Ademola (who was acting at the time as the presiding Judge over the matter) as a purported contribution towards Justice Ademola’s daughter’s wedding.

Under cross examination by Defence counsel, the DSS IPO confirmed that the said suit involving Gen. Buhari (rtd.) who is now Muhammadu Buhari GCFR the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, was pending before Justice Ademola at the time the payment was made by his lawyer.

The certified true copy (CTC) of the said suit before Justice Ademola in 2015 was tendered as an exhibit before the court and admitted as “EXHIBIT FFF”.
